OEM & Own Brands

A practical guide for food and beverage SME operators (PKS) who use a third-party factory to make their own-brand products.

Note: A factory's SPHM (Sijil Pengesahan Halal Malaysia, the Malaysia Halal Certificate) for OEM is certification of a manufacturing service. It does not automatically make all of its customers' products certified. Using the halal logo requires the relevant product certification. See JAKIM MPPHM 2020 (Amendment 2026) (Manual Prosedur Pensijilan Halal Malaysia, the Malaysia Halal Certification Procedure Manual), Procedure 18(8)(a)–(b).
